Best Cheap Tacos in Cabo...

Ok, so this one is open to a great deal of debate depending on preference and taste. So, as a further qualifier, let's narrow it down to really good carne asada tacos with fresh onions cooked on the open grill and a salsa bar complete with a complete selection of local treats and toppings. And, tasty bean soup. Where? The original El Paisa #1 (there are also two others located in Cabo San Lucas central), is a short walk up Morelos and turn right at the corner across from Castro's market. Go about 25 yards down the block. You can still eat some tasty tacos in Cabo for about 5 or 6 bucks per person. Go where locals in the know go....

Sunday Lunch at Fundadores Beach Club

We had a delicious and perfect lunch today at the Puerto Los Cabos Beach Club in Fundadores. The service, the sheltered tables with spectacular beach front views, and the lovely presentation, offered our party of eight wonderful friends a special opportunity to appreciate all of it. Oh yes, the price was under $200 pesos per person, including a 15% gratuity.
It is rumored that this special beach front restaurant will someday be private for the Fundadores owners, but until then, we highly recommend the experience!

Zipper's for Lunch!!

Jay and I were sitting at Zippers today having lunch and saying what a perfect spot Zippers is when you have just picked someone up at the airport. I get to pick up my friend Terry on Saturday and we will undoubtedly stop for lunch at Zippers on our way to Hacienda del Mar. It is just so perfect to sit under the palapa on the beach and relax by that beautiful blue water of the Sea of Cortez. And the food is usually pretty good. They have great burgers and shrimp tacos - no doubt about that! On the healthier side the salad with grilled chicked was just OK. All I know is that when people are just arriving it is a perfect way to 'ease' into the beauty and charm that is Cabo!!
